It is currently a very challenging market for new festivals and it has become clear that it is impossible to go ahead with Rhythm + Waves in 2026.

We are an independent promoter who cares deeply about the genres and artists we support and wanted to create a show unlike any other in Portugal.

The responsible thing to do for our customers was to make this decision as early as possible to minimise disruption and inconvenience.

All ticket holders will automatically receive a full refund including booking fees which will be processed to the original method of payment within 10-14 business days (By 3rd March 2026). No action is required from you. If you are on a payment plan, you will receive a refund for the amount you have already paid and all future payments will be stopped. Portimão has an incredible beach and there are many opportunities to enjoy boat trips and water sports. There is an abundance of fantastic, reasonably priced restaurants, water parks, local markets and cultural experiences. The Algarve is a great destination for relaxation, adventure and exploring Portuguese culture.

As per our Terms & Conditions we are only able to offer refunds for festival tickets. We are unable to cover or reimburse any third-party costs such as flights, accommodation, or other travel-related expenses.

We recommend contacting your airline directly, as many carriers offer the option to reschedule or cancel your flights, sometimes for a fee. Similarly, most hotel booking platforms and accommodation providers offer free or flexible cancellation policies, so please check directly with your provider for details specific to your booking.

If you have purchased travel insurance, we also encourage you to contact your insurer, as you may be able to make a claim depending on your policy.

We will reflect upon whether Rhythm + Waves will take place in the future later in the year and update all channels accordingly.
